Background Information

I am originally from Delaware, and came to Florida 30 years ago to attend college. I am a 1983 graduate of USF. I met my husband of 24 years in freshman year of college. We have 4 children. Our two oldest sons are current USF students. Our daughter attends Hillsborough Community College and our youngest son is in 6th grade. I was a stay at home mom for the past 22 years. I began substituting at my local elementary school. I loved it...and the faculty seemed to take a liking to me as well. Out of 180 school days, I subbed for 120 days! One day I was approached by the principal. She told me that she was impressed with the way I handled the students. She also told me that she thought that I would make a good Media Specialist. At the time there were 18 openings in the county for Media Specialist. I was lucky enough to obtain a position. I absolutely love my job! I am now only 2 classes away from obtaining my School Media Specialist Graduate Certificate that is required for the position. I haved gained so much valuable information from each class that I have taken.
